Website Privacy Statement

(Counseling4Change, LLC - last updated October, 2026)
What this statement covers
This statement explains what information the Counseling4Change website (counseling4change.org) collects from visitors and how we handle it. It applies to this website only.
If you become a client, a separate document, our Notice of Privacy Practices, governs how we handle your health information. That notice controls if the two ever differ.
Please do not send health details through this website. Use the secure channel we give you after you book.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and respond to you.
What you give us. Your name, email, phone number, and message if you use a contact form, ask a question, or book an appointment, plus the details you enter when you buy a workbook or course.
What your browser sends automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the time of your visit.
Payment details. Payments are handled by payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on this website.
We do not ask for your Social Security number, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies, analytics, and other services
Cookies. Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use essential cookies to keep the site working and to see, in aggregate, which pages are visited. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not run social-media tracking pixels on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Services we link to. We use outside services for scheduling (Calendly), video platforms (Headway, Tava, and Rula), and payment processor (Stripe). When you use them, the information you enter goes to that service and is covered by its own privacy policy. Please keep health details out of scheduling notes and comment boxes.
Other websites. Our pages may link to outside sites, including resources and book recommendations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
How we use and share website information
We use what you send us to answer your questions, schedule and manage appointments, deliver purchases, send service messages, and improve the site. We send newsletters only if you opt in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers described above, when you ask us to, or when the law requires.
If you become a client, the information you give us in the course of care is protected health information and is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices, not this statement.
Security, your choices, and contact
Security. We use reasonable safeguards, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection on this site. No website or email is perfectly secure, so share only what you are comfortable sending. Ordinary email and text are not secure channels for health information.
This site is not for emergencies. We do not monitor messages sent through the website around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911.
Your choices. You may ask what information we hold from your website use, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of emails at any time. Where the law gives you additional rights, such as in California, we will honor them. We handle records that are part of your care under the Notice of Privacy Practices and the retention rules that apply to clinical records.
Changes. If we change this statement, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
