Online therapy for adults in Michigan

Michigan stretches from Detroit and Grand Rapids to the northern Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula, and good therapy isn't always nearby. Online sessions let you work with an experienced therapist from home, whatever the weather.

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan with more than 20 years of CBT experience. I work with adults on anxiety, depression, anger, and life transitions, with specialized care for LGBTQ+ clients.

How sessions work in Michigan

  • You need to be physically in Michigan during the session.

  • Appointments run 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday–Friday. In the western Upper Peninsula, which is on Central Time, that's 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

  • Sessions are 45 minutes by secure video, from any private place in the state.

  • If you'll be traveling outside Michigan on your session day, we'll reschedule.

Fees and insurance

The self-pay fee is $130 per 45-minute session. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and many other insurance plans for Michigan residents. If you pay out of pocket, you may request a Good Faith Estimate. See How to Book for both ways to start.

Questions from Michigan clients

I live far from any therapist, in the Upper Peninsula or up north. Can I see you? Yes. All you need is a private spot, a device with a camera, and a reliable internet connection.

My mood dips every winter. Is that something you work on? It can be. If low mood, low energy, or lost motivation tends to return with the dark months, we can look at the patterns behind it and build a plan for them.
