Online therapy for adults in California

California is big, and a good therapist can be a long drive away. Online sessions put CBT within reach whether you live in a major city or a small town, with nothing to commute to and no waiting-room.

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and I trained here: my master's in counseling is from California State University, Long Beach. I work with adults on anxiety, depression, anger, and life transitions, with specialized care for LGBTQ+ clients.

How sessions work in California

  • You need to be physically in California during the session.

  • Appointments run 7 a.m.–1 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday–Friday.

  • Sessions are 45 minutes by secure video, from any private place in the state.

  • If you'll be traveling outside California on your session day, we'll reschedule.

My California license

California LMFT 35884, issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Fees and insurance

The self-pay fee is $130 per 45-minute session. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Blue Shield of California, and many other insurance plans for California residents. If you pay out of pocket, you may request a Good Faith Estimate. See How to Book for both ways to start.

Questions from California clients

I live in California but I'm traveling. Can we still meet? Only while you're physically in California. If you're elsewhere that day, we'll move the session.

I'm a student or newly arrived. Does that matter? Not at all. What matters is where you are during the session, not how long you've lived here.
